Dating....

I think I've kinda come off my darkest part of my life after almost 3 years and have stepped into the dating world. It's not something that I wanted to do but then as years rolled by, I've decided that the past is the past and it's the future that I should be concerned now....so, it's that time to let go...just treasure those memories and move on...and am moving on....So, I've taken the bold step....to move forward. So, here I am....:o) Been out on a couple of dates. It was fun...so, I thought ! But actually, nothing serious to start off a relationship. Nothing extraordinary, nothing new. In short, there were no chemistry whatsoever...haha.. But I am glad to have connected with these new found friends. End of the day, my world of friendship has enlarged.

So, what is this that I am looking for in dating? Guess, sometimes when the loneliness creeps in that's when we need someone. Someone to love and to be loved. That someone who will care and make me feel important despite my shortcomings. That someone who knows that I am not at all perfect. But I realised that meeting the right one is much more important than to just assume that someone is the right one. How then do we know that - that someone is the right one? For me, the right one is one who can just click at the first meet. The one that makes your heart go flutter. The one who crosses your mind daily after the first date. The one who makes you smile and laugh. And, above all the one who can be open and honest. Well, I did not find that some one yet. So my dates ended as new found friends instead and we became face book friends...:o)

Well, a lil' more about dating....I was forewarned about players in the game too. Yup, the very good ones, the too good to be true characters. I guess dating now is completely different than before. If your date keeps harping that you're looking great, you're beautiful, you're what a guy needs in his life blah blah blah...AND does not reveal much about him, just be careful. He could be a player. Dating isn't fun after all. It's pure hard work as a matter of fact ! Haha...what they reveal is not much until some ground work is done. So, those in similar shoes...remember, don't you ever invest your heart even before getting to know your date in and out - all that glitters is not gold ! Check, Analyse and Verify....and a close friend told me recently, "It's a jungle out there.." so just be alert.....woo hoo.....looks like the world of dating can be fun, scary, ugly, crazy ...until you get to click with the right one......so, let's just keep our eyes wide open while looking out for ahem ! prince charming....lol
