Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi

My family and I decided to do a weekend trip to Colmar Tropicale at Bukit Tinggi yesterday. It's actually a French Village managed by the Berjaya Groups. We wanted to stay in Colmar but the hotels were all fully booked. Thus, the only available one was at Selesa Hillhomes at the foothill (close to Janda Baik). We left at 11am and it actually took us more than 2 hours to reach our destination. This was due to the heavy traffic - people leaving KL for the Chinese New Year holidays. Anyways, we got there earlier than the check in time (3pm) and thankfully the rooms were available, so we checked in and had some rest. Since it was raining, we were not able to drive up to Colmar immediately as planned. It's only 10mins drive up to Colmar. But as soon as the rain stopped, we made it there. However, when we reached Colmar, it began to drizzle, heavily !We had to dismiss the idea of activities and even the trip to Japanese Garden. So, we strolled along the resort and my ! it's still as beautiful as ever. You get the feeling like you're in fairyland :)

This French-themed resort has castle buildings and colourful dutch looking cottages. They were simply awesome. Many gift shops and cafes. But all of them - costly ! I was secretly wanting to go for a spa but had to drop that idea since they were charging an arm and a leg :(

And, if you've not been to this place, here are the details. You can even do a day-trip if you're not interested in the activities. Just the sight-seeing and having a coffee at their cafes is good enough. Sit and relax and take in the beauty of the buildings around you. It's a wonderful sight...

Happy Pongal...

Yay ! It's Pongal today (known as harvest festival); and what better time than to spend the day with loved ones! So, after my yoga today, it was family all the way...to my mum and the rest. Ate the best ever yummy home cooked food. I hope all other festivals will fall on a Sunday because weekends, especially Sunday is my cheat day. So, I ate to my heart's content.

Writing my story...my destiny...

I'm sorry. I've not been updating my blog as promised. I've been a little busy the past week. Busy with my thoughts. Busy reviewing the past, thinking so hard about the present and trying to sneak peek into the future..lol..how like me !! So, with all these in mind, I had been procastinating alot about blogging. My humble apologies. Rest assured I am now perfectly alright after doing some reading, gaining positive thoughts and this has made me a little excited about life now....

So, what do I have for you today? Felt like sharing this about the law of attraction...that which I read in the book called "The Secret"... if you've not got hold of this book, go and get it ! It's worth a read ! Read on..

Yeah, unleash the magic - I am now focusing purely on what I want in life. At times, yes, I tend to fall back but I am conscious of the fact that I have to let go and generate a feeling of real thinking. I don't want to be busy thinking thoughts of the past. It should be thoughts of the future. And, I think I have to a certain degree gained control of my thoughts. It's amazing - the power of how we can control our thoughts. Try it and you'll find your life changing for the better.

Starless Moonless Night

Last night - I looked up into the night sky searching for the stars and the moon.
It was a starless and moonless night.
It made me sad.
I started missing my family.
I missed my friends as well.
And, missed my lil prince charming.
I slept with a heavy heart, not being able to make a wish on a starless night.
My hopes, my dreams and my future are up there...my secret heaven...
I'm hoping to catch a star tonight.

First Day At Work - New Year 2012

Yeah ! Today's my first day at work in Y2012. It's nice to be back to work. Hoping for a beautiful day and I think it will be a pretty good day for me. I will aim for that. So, how are you going to make your day ? It's good to be hopeful - that the day will be just as what you want it to be. Hope for a day of new beginnings, new challenges, new discoveries and everything new. The seeds of hope, let's nurture 'em with courage and strength and see them grow ! That's my wish for you and me at work !

Happy New Year 2012

Finally the day has come ! Yay ! 2012 is approaching in less than 7 hours from now (in Malaysia). I am ending 2011 with a happy feeling - for all the good things that has happened throughout the year and for that which was not so pleasant, it's an experience, a lesson and I've got another 12 months to get it right :-) So, how are you ushering in the New Year? I'll be with my best buddy painting the town red :-) Gonna make it a memorable and great NYE and welcome Y 2012 with open arms. So, with that, this will be my last blog for Y2011 and till we meet again in Y2012 - wishing everyone a blessed New Year; one that will fill your coming days with love, joy, peace and happiness with continued strength, courage and good health.

Meaningful & Eventful Year - 2011

It's 30th December 2011 and my last working day for the year. I know I will be back to work on Tuesday to a brand new week, a new year - to my same desk and company but having to say goodbye to 2011 brings a sad feeling. This year has been truly, very meaningful and eventful. I did pretty well overall. I think my life changed completely during the 2nd quarter. It was so good to be completely human :-) I am thankful for alot of things that happened throughout the year, I am glad to have my loving family, my friends who mean a lot to me, made new amazing friends both local and overseas, my job which was shaky at one point but survived, my wonderful colleagues who would always give a helping hand at work when in need, my health which deteriorated a little but picked up, my yoga which gave me the focus, strength and patience, my first ever vacation alone and with family next, an addition in  family with the arrival of our lil prince charming, the food, drinks, the sleep, the entertainments..oh boy ! so many things, countless blessings......I feel so blessed. It has been an awesome year without any doubt. Yes, despite some rough rides and negative energy taking its peek now and then, I made it. Obviously, without God I wonder if all these would have been possible. Thanks to the Almighty ! I am so very grateful to You, My Lord !

So, next is 2012....what's in store for us? We will never know. Another year another chance to get it right where we failed. Let's remain positive and wish for a continued wonderfully exciting and blessed year ahead ! Happy New Year everyone and here's a quote for us to ponder.....
